North Americans and Europeans have been looking to the east to see what our Asian sisters have been doing to keeping looking more youthful as the age.

Thanks to this newfound obsession with the east more and more of us are not integrating antioxidant powerhouses like green tea in our diets. We’ve also see the Japanese skincare line SK-II become one of the most popular line to be introduced to the North American and European market and you even have Australian multi-award-winner Cate Blanchett as the face of the Japanese line.

Renowned Japanese Aesthetician Chizu Saeki is offering North American and European a greater insight into the Asian way of aging well with her new book: The Japanese Skincare Revolution: How to Have the Most Beautiful Skin of Your Life–At Any Age.

In her book, Chizu Saeki (who is 65) draws on over 45 years of beauty industry experience to help women around the world (thanks to this translated version of her book) to age while still maintaining beautiful skin.

This go-to beauty guide focuses simple and cost-effective techniques approach that women can use daily to improve the appearance of their skin. Chizu also gives great ideas for tweaking products you already have … this is quite a recession-proof solution since so many women already have so many products they’ve already bought. She also talks about her secret (and most important) tool for beauty … your hands!

This books is more than just lotions and potions, Chizu Saeki focuses heavily positive thinking and she encourages her readers to stop zeroing in on those spots and fine lines because that will only make matters worst.

There are a lot of women who love making their own skincare products at home, and this book is filled with DIY ideas like: a lotion mask made with cotton pads, a honey lip treatment, a shower cap steam pack and a water bottle face massage that sounds quite intriguing.

Saeki guides you along the way with surveys to help you determine what type of skin you have and tests to determine elasticity, moisture levels and the symmetry of your face.

If you don’t have a Madonna-type-beauty-budget, but you still want to look amazing as you age on a small scale budget, this book will help you with great tips.
